In Situ 2
2017
Outside, historic artifacts become microenvironments for various plants, lichens and moss. "In Situ" is a term used in archaeology to reference an artifact still situated in its original location. Hand-embroidery and stumpwork create the vegetation around this teacup. The piece also includes small amounts of foraged moss and lichen, fabric, driftwood and a modified antique lantern base.
