When Urban Deer Dream

This is a combination of rusted metal fragments and a deer figurine; the deer being a species that can adapt to urban settings. The forest image on the antique postcard in the background implies an earlier and possibly more desired setting for the animal. It is framed in a wooden box stamped “Coulee Dam,” alluding to other human-altered environments. Other materials include paint, paper, small nails and a temperature gauge.
