"Old Cannonball" is made from fabrics hand tailored over batting on a resign form. This moose mount was designed for the Eddy Hotel in Golden, Colorado, so needed to be a specimen of the West. Fabrics printed with southwest designs articulated the geographical distinction, the angled patterns a familiar Western signature. The main fabric on the top is Pendleton — Pendleton Woolen Mills being another element of American Western tradition. The blues and grays used not only complement the Hotel color scheme, but also nod to the aqueous world of the moose. To pinpoint the bull’s final home, he is named after Clear Creek, running alongside the Eddy Hotel, and once known as Cannonball Creek. Resteraunt photos courtesy of The Eddy.
